Rule 2: Answer the questions the tagger set for you and then make 11 new ones.
Rule 3: Tag 11 people and link them to your post.
Rule 4: Let them know you’ve tagged them.
Rule 5: Can´t tag back.
(I’m not gonna tag anyone, much less set 11 new questions…just gonna do this as a form of self-reflection)
1) Current rant: Having to go through the A levels virtually alone. Don’t get me wrong - St Andrew’s is a lovely place to be in. But I have myself to blame for not cherishing my initial circle of friends in 2010. As for 2011 to now…just my luck that I’m stuck with classmates I can’t get along well with. To sum up my time at SA, I’d say I chose the correct place, but at the wrong time.
2) Dream ambition: I’d gladly give up all material prospects to be a cleaner at Liverpool FC.
3) What’s the most meaningful thing that a loved one has done for you: One memory that stands out would be the Green Ranger (from the Mighty Morphin’ series) cake my mom got for me on my 5th birthday…damn I gotta go look for the photo
4) Favourite cusine: Peranakan food - never bland, in my experience at least
5) What makes you attracted to someone: Superficially, looks. Emotionally, the values that define their conscience.
6) Most comfortable place to be: Needless to say it’d be home.
7) Follow your dreams and passions and earn a small salary, or having a high salary in a job that you really hate: I’d choose to have a high salary in a job that I hate. It’ll make me cherish the limited time I have left with my family even more. And I can spend the extra money on them. Win-win situation if you ask me.
8) Are you adventurous, or you enjoy listening or reading other people’s adventures: I don’t like the manner in which this question has been phrase, but I firmly believe in the phrase “seeing is believing”. Meaning to say that merely listening to others’ stories wouldn’t satisfy me/invoke my empathy as compared to experiencing whatever he or she is describing first hand.
9) If you were able to experience the world as an animal, which animal will it be and why: I don’t have a specific animal in mind, but it’ll definitely be a bird, given that they are the only group of animals that can cross boundaries with relative ease.
10) If you were able to be someone else for one day, what would it be and why: Again, I don’t have a specific person in mind, but I’d love to be a female for a day. Perhaps it’d enable me to understand the other sex better?
11) One person that you would like to thank but never got the chance or courage to: My dad. I have always found it awkward to thank him for what he has done for me and my family, because he’s the silent type who shows his love through actions rather than words of affection. That ice-cold impression he exudes makes me wonder if he actually appreciates outward displays of love. I guess this has conditioned me to be very bad with words, verbally at least hahaha…
